I made my Broadway debut in the Original Cast of the Tony Award-winning Kander and Ebb musical Kiss of the Spider Woman, directed by Harold Prince. I later became the only man in Broadway history to star as Jean Valjean and Inspector Javert in Les Miserables. I created the role of Reverend Gonzalez opposite Marc Anthony and Ruben Blades in the Original Broadway Cast of Paul Simon’s The Capeman. I appeared as Magaldi in New York City Center’s 2019 production of EVITA and I received the 2019 Connecticut Critics Circle Best Actor in a Musical Award for my portrayal of Cervantes/Quixote in Man of La Mancha.
I’ve also sung in smokey bars, with symphony orchestras across the U.S. and recorded a very cool Latin-Jazz album with a big band.
Guest star roles on television include Bull (CBS), Blue Bloods (CBS) and The Blacklist (NBC) and recurring roles on HULU’s The Path and Gotham (FOX). He’s also played opposite Edie Falco and Tony Shalhoub on Nurse Jackie, Debra Messing on Mysteries of Laura, Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu on Elementary and Dylan McDermott on Hostages. Other television appearances include Damages, Person of Interest, Law and Order and Ugly Betty and others.
Last Fall, I narrated my first audiobook: Matt De La Peña’s Children’s book, PATCHWORK earning a 2023 Audie Awards Selection. I followed it with the brutally realistic RIKERS: AN ORAL HISTORY by Graham Rayman and Reuven Blau earning a 2023 Earphones Award. I’ve recorded 10 titles for Penguin Random House to date and I’m very excited to do more.
